Nigel joined Clacton Pier as its Communications Manager in February 2018. He had just retired as Tendring District Council's Communications Manager after 12 years. Previously he was Deputy Editor at the Clacton Gazette where he worked for 23 years.

Went to your circus today with my grandchildren, and what a lovely fantastic time had by all, to see the excitement on my grandchildrens faces was brilliant, thank you all for a wonderful time all the acts were amazing and you can see all the hard work that went into it,
